I decided that if I was going to be successful, I needed to keep a food log. I suck at writing down what I eat. I've tried it and failed several times. Luckily I discovered TwoGrand., an app that I got on my iPhone and iPad to track my food via photograph. It is brilliant. The nice thing is that you can also follow others and get meal ideas from things others post. Every post is time-stamped, so it helps me keep track of time between meals. This is useful because you are supposed to eat every 3-4 hours on the THM plan. Anyway, my username on there is Arainais, so feel free to follow me if you are interested.
So, my first on plan week went amazingly well. I was able to eat pretty much anything I wanted with a little bit of planning in advance. I tried several new foods that I wouldn't normally have tried and enjoyed them all. Some of the foods were so sinfully delicious that it is nearly impossible to think of them as "diet food." Here's just a sample of things I ate this week:
